Designer Fashions and some thoughts...
So check these out....
I hesitate to copy the images, so go look.
I'd like to think that New Mexico's Fiber Community can produce things AS edgy, AS classic, More Beautifully made than these examples;
Viscose fiber

Faux Suede: acrylic, polyester and polyurethane
$1,240.00
Are we in the wrong market? Is there any way we can ask 10 to 15 to 20% of the retail of these items for our handwork and not be told it's too much money and "I can but it at the big W------ store for $5.00."?
And yet we price our work so low. I'm as guilty of this as the next person however I think it's time for all of us to price our work at what we feel is "the price" and not be un-proud of our Value as craftspeople.
I'm learning to value my time and my work and I am entitled to ask a fair price for what I sell.
I don't think that's too much to ask.
'Nuff said.
